Checking out Napa and Sonoma Valley - California Back Roads - NOT JUST ABOUT WINE TASTING - ABOUT SERVICE

Many of you love to drive and visits places on the back roads, but I need to share some experiences that we have had recently.  On a rainy or sunny day you will have the same results.  Exploring with friends or family is a treat. But knowing the ins and outs of Wine Tasting and just some Travel Tips helps you have a better experience.
There are several great Winery's out there for Wine Tasting, but I do need to tell you about one Winery worth stopping at.  The Jacuzzi FamilyVineyards is well worth the side trip.  Located on Highway 21 in Sonoma - http://www.jacuzziwines.com or find them on facebook at this address.  http://www.facebook.com/JacuzziWines.  What impressed us is that Irene knew the history and was passionate about her job.  This Winery was very busy due to the fact that they have COMPLIMENTARY WINE TASTING.  They were serving 5 different types for FREE and then if you wanted to check out some of the other wines, it cost $1.00 per taste.  The Jacuzzi Family Vineyards also had some wonderful tastings of Olive Oils and were very free about letting you sample as many as you wanted.  What a great place this was and their shops had some original are and jewelry

Wine Tasting is not FREE  at most Wineries. Some of the Wineries make you order something and sit down.  Many years ago the Wineries wanted people to come, taste their wines and sell to you.  Lots of people have taken advantage of the Free Tasting and it has now caused the Wineries to now charge for their tastings.  Small Wineries need to be supported by the weekend flow of Visitors.

We went to the Gloria Ferrer and walked into the tasting room and they wanted to only let you taste the wines by PURCHASING a FULL Glass and they were quite expensive.  Important thing to know that if you have a VISA SIGNATURE CREDIT CARD and show it to certain Wineries they will let you have a free splash for tasting.  Once Gloria Ferrer Winery knew we have a card, they sat us down and gave us one free sample.

Check out the website http://www.sonomawine.com/visa-signature-perks   for joint offers for  year-round benefits and exclusive to Visa Signature Card Holders.  Visa Signature Winery Guide is located at site  http://www.sonomawine.com/visa-signature-perks/vs-winery-guide,   I just like to report good deals (FREE INFORMATION) when I find them.

A Unique Experience was going into the Trinitas Cellars located in the Meritage Resort.  The Wine Tasting is done in tunnels that were Wine Cellars.  The Spa is located in the same area.  What a way for some people staying at the resort to relax.

Hope this article give you some good information for you on your next Trip through the Back Roads of California.  Happy Travels.
