Travel Agents Offer Lots of Good Free Advise - I Don't Charge For My Services

I would like to clear up a misnomer.  Not All Travel Agent Charge You A Fee for their Advise.  Many travelers like to do their own research, but they don't always end up with the best travel deal.  I have been in the Travel Business for over 32 years at this point and I really need to clear up a few items.  I DO NOT CHARGE YOU FOR MY EXPERIENCE OR EXPERTISE.  I just try to match you with the right Tour, Cruise or Hotel based on You as an Individual.

There are Travel Agencies that will charge you an upfront fee to talk to them or to have them get information.  I feel this is not the right platform for me or my clients.  I have experience and I want to share my travel tips or problems that might have arised during my travels.

You are individuals and each person has their own agendas and it is not my place to try to put you on a Tour or Cruise that would not fit your personality or your pocketbook.  My job is to make your travel dreams become a reality.

Tours Companies pay Travel Agencies commission based on the fact that we can recommend any company that we feel is a Valid Tour Company. We recommend companies based on our experience with their company by a direct and continued partnership.  If you are being charged a fee, please be aware (WHY).  Please be careful when using an proclaimed Expert.  Everyone in life is a work in progress.  Happy Travels.

Family Travel in Your Own Neighborhood - See Your Local Parks and Museums

Have you really every explored your local neighborhoods with your family.  Who better know your local area than the Chamber of Commerce or Visitor's Center.  Family Fun or Family Exploration can be done in a town near you.  Why not spend some time close to home.  All vacations don't have to empty your wallet.

Our family loves to travel and I highly recommend to take a little time on facebook or twitter to find out some of the best Parks or Museums near your home town.  Price of Gas has dropped lately, but the secret affordable fun is to just travel as a family in an affordable way.  Not everyone can afford a Cruise or Escorted Tour this year.  Why not take a bus trip or local City Tour.  I have lived in one area for over 30 years but there are still things I am learning and taking pictures of .  Just get out as a family and have fun.

Travel Tip: traveling doesn't have to empty your wallet. Take a visit to a city near you and explore their parks and museum. There might be a new trail that you have been wanting to explore for the family day trip outing. Just enjoy your time off with your family. That is the best recipe for Healthy and Happy Family Fun.

Holiday Travel Tips - Be Prepared and Pack Ahead

Holiday Travel can be stressful.  Many of you will be traveling more than 200 miles away to visit family and friends for the Holidays.  My biggest travel tip is suggested that you always travel with safety in mind.  Watch the Gas Prices, as they dictate what prices you will pay at the pumps.  Be Prepared and Pack Ahead.

The Airlines offer Special Holiday Fares but they are very specific to dates of travel.  I suggest that you always allow approximately 21 days prior to travel to purchase your airline ticket.  There are some last minute deals but the best prices and availability are there when you plan way in advance.  Get to the airport at least 2 1/2 hours prior to you departure time.  Many delays are happening with the TSA screening.  Plan Ahead.

Are you traveling by car this year?  Depending where you travel be prepared and pack ahead of time.  My Holiday Travel Tip is: Pack and Carry Tire Chains, Extra Blankets and some snacks before you start out.  I have physically been stuck on the highway for 12 hours and it is always good  to be prepared.

Travel Safe and I hope this information is helpful.  Look forward to 2012 as the prices are starting to come down for air and gas prices.  Have a Wonderful Holiday Season and Happy Travels wherever you end up for this Christmas Season.

Don't Miss Your Flight - Get to the Airport Early around the Holidays and Print Your Board Passes

Travel Advisory: Missing a flight is not fun. Several things happen and stress is the number #1 issue  and additional cost is #2 issue. During the Holidays the day before a holiday and the Sunday after the holiday are usually High in Demand Flight Seats. The airlines are under pressure to have the best on time performance and it become a problem when they hold a plane up for a person running late. Be prepared and get to the airports early.  BE SURE TO GET YOUR BOARDING PASSES 24 hours prior to departure.

You will have to fly standby and there is no guarantee that you will be placed on the very next flight.  Remember by having to overnight in an unexpected city can cost lots of extra travel dollars and you don't want to ruin your vacation on something that you personally can control.  Always arrive early to the airport..  The security around the holidays becomes beefed up so it will take longer to actually get to your gate. Happy Travels and be prepared.

Travel Advisory and Safety Check

Travel Advisory: Severe Weather causing delays with the airlines, lots of traffic on the roads.  It is advisable to check with your Travel Agent or Airlines Carrier before you leave for the Airport.  The weather is causing lots of delays and cancellations this holiday season.   If you are checking your bags for your flight, please make sure that you keep your medication, cell phone and charger, computer and extra set of clothes with you. This way you are Prepared and Packed.  We always pack small portions of snacks and extra clothes as many of you know that your bags can get lost or just not show up until your Vacation is over.  Nothing worse than trying to enjoy a cruise without changes of clothing.  I advise to have a day prior in the location before sailing as the airlines make no guarantees that you will get to your port of call before the ship sets sail.  Be a well informated traveller and prepared for any changes that might arise.   Always a good thing to purchase Travel Insurance.  Happy Travels and These Tips are for you.

Enjoy Your Vacation - Save Money by Packing Less

Travel Tip: If you are planning on flying to your next vacation try to slim down the suit case. Many people pack way to much stuff (and never wear it). With the airlines charging for your luggage you might want to be sure that it isn't over weight.    Avoid paying $25, $30, even $50 baggage fees at the airport, when you manage to pack everything in your carry-on luggage.  Traveling around the world has allowed me to get quite creative in my packing. You are allowed a purse and one Carry On.  Make all these allowances count and pack wisely.  Happy Travels and enjoy your vacation and not what it is going to cost by having overweight luggage.  http://travelatheart.com/

Enjoyment is the Key to Successful Cruising

TRAVEL TIPS - Things to do on a cruise - Swimmng, enjoying the ports of call, quality time with your family, dancing, making new lifetime friends, eating and just relaxing if you need the down time. Most people think that you will gain weight but the ships have great physical fitness programs to help you keep on track. Enjoyment is the key to Successful Cruising. I always pick a cruising vacation by its itinerary.  When visiting the ports you will meet and greet new opportunities to see just a little more of the world.  Family vacations are fun on a cruise.

Proper Legal Name on Travel Documents - Very Important Information

Travel Tip: Take the Hassel out of Traveling be taking a few minutes for preparation. Before making your reservations, check that you have the proper documentation. Cruise Lines and Airlines are very strict on having your name on the reservation as it appears exactly on the passport. Make sure the expiration is at least 9 month past the date of your return. Just a good thing to remember - if your passport is expiring soon apply for a new one. Happy Travels and hope your family vacation is truly hassel free.

Cruises Sales with Lower Deposit Requirements for Vacation Travel

The prices for cruises are at an all time low.  The cruise lines are trying to fill up their empty cabins and that allows for special deals for most itineraries.  National Cruise Week was last week and the prices were unbelievable.  A cruise sale is something that our agency can offer 6 times a year and when we host a cruise the deposit requirements are lowered to $100.00 per person to reserve your cabin.  If you ever need us to research an itinerary we do that free of charge.  Some agencies charge a service fee so be sure to check and make sure you aren't paying for more than the deposit.

Travel Safety When Traveling Overseas.

When traveling abroad it  is alway wise to be prepared for a hassle free vacation.  Make sure that you have packed a copy of your passport somewhere other than with the original passport.  Take different change purses as you will be using different currencies depending on the countries you are visiting.  Leave expensive items home locked up.  No need to try to attract attention while traveling.  Try to blend in just enjoy the sites once you arrive to your destination. Just using common sense and traveling safely will create the best vacation.  Take lots of pictures and you will enjoy your trip when you get home.  Memories are made from our experiences.

Vacation Planning

Travel needs are something very personal to each individual.   The areas in the world that interest you are completely different than a person that lives in the same house.  Compromise is the Key.  Try to pick a destination that will have similar interests and activities so that everyone is happy.

A popular vacation is traveling to a warm or beach destination.  Once you plan the destination of your choice then it will be easy to find activities in the area.  We always recommend that you check with the local Chamber of Commerce and she what attractions are in the area and then decide what interests the entire family.  A family that travels together builds lasting memories.
