Singapore and More Pre or Post Cruise Destination while exploring Asia and More

Singapore is a perfect place to visit anytime, but it is very popular with a pre or post destination prior to cruising and seeing Asia.

Visit Singapore's famous Raffles Hotel, Arcade, shops and Restaurants

We found that there were so many things to do and see that we were very glad that we had added a couple extra days after our cruse.  Sailing From China to Singapore was a trip worth exploring a few extra days on both ends of the cruise.

We checked out the city and found that the bus system was easy and very inexpensive.  We first recommend taking the Hop On and Hop Off to familiarize yourself with the highlights of the city.

Secondly be sure to explore the buses and check out the schedules.  Most of the hotels are located close to the bus stops.  Singapore is a very clean city and there will always be enough to explore without wishing that you had booked extra time.
The Architecture in Singapore is pretty Modern and very Unique.   The city scape is beautiful from every direction that you see.  Once we pulled into port the skyline really took over and kept our attention for exploring throughout our stay.

Don't forget to visit China Town.  You will want to taste some the wonderful local dishes and maybe try out something new.

The botanical Gardens has some amazing varieties of plants and trees that we have never seen before.  Take a look at these beautiful palm tree style plants just to see what we are talking about.  Don't forget to take in the Orchid Exhibits while you are at the Gardens (a must see and only costs approximately $8.00 USD.  Enjoy and have a great time just wandering around Singapore and See More

Exploring Rome and Excursions

Rome and excursions:

There are so many things to see and do when visiting Rome.  First you need to know how many days you have to explore this wonderful city.  Rome is the Capital of the World.  Some of the things to visit while in Rome are Roman Forum, St. Peter’s Basilica, Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museums, Colosseum, Panatheon, Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain.  These are some of my personal recommendations if your stay in Rome is short.  You create wonderful memories of this fantastic Vacation pictures at all these famous sights.  When you get home you will be glad that you spent the extra time to Visit some Historical Sites that interest you personally.  Happy Travels and Pick Your Excursions Wisely.

The Vatican – The Home of the Pope requires at least One Full Day of your time.  Truly worth the time you spend exploring the Home of the Pope and the Smallest Nation in the World.  There are always long lines to get into St. Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel.  Be prepared and have your travel agent pre book these tours to make the best use of your time.  Go right to the front of the lines with your tour director

Transfer from Airport to Downtown Hotels.  You can hire a taxi, set up a private transfer for minimum amount based on 5 traveling together.  If there are only two of you traveling I recommend pre-purchasing a shared transfer and it will run you about $32.00 USD per person.  When you hire a Private Transfer the tour company provides directions on where to meet at the airport and will take you directly to your hotel.

After traveling from the USA, you are pretty tired and getting to your hotel room is one of the best things to do and get some rest.

Tranfers from Downtown Hotels to the Cruise Port:  Here you can take the trains, but you will be let off in city center and then need to take a TAXI to the cruise port.

I recommend private Transfers from a Vendor that your Travel Agent can pre-purchase for you for approximately $59.00 USD per person. The Cruise Lines want to charge $96.00  so you can see the savings to you when you pre book the transfers from somewhere other than the cruise lines.

Boarding Your Ship:  The Cruise Port:  The Cruise Ships Embark and Debark frin the port that is approximately  1 – 1 ½ hours away from Rome depending how much traffic you run into.  Highly recommend another private transfer to eliminate the Stress of getting to the Ship on Time.  There are strict rules that the cruise lines want your paperwork filled out before you leave home.  It makes boarding more streamline for all the passengers.  Allow at least 2-4 hours prior to departure to board your floating city for the week.

What Makes Cruising a Great #Vacation

Vacation and Cruising Go Hand in Hand.  Cruising is for all ages and if you pick the appropriate cruise line with exciting destination for your #Vacation you will have a win win situation.  There are cruises for every length of #Vacation that you want to experience.  There are some cruises that are one day up to 150 days which will be your world cruises.  I tell people if you are cruising somewhere for the first time, be sure to pick an interesting destination like Alaska.  Alaska is a fairly easy sell as most people have it on their bucket list.  You can do round trip cruises out of Seattle and airport transfers are quite easy.  If you do a one directional cruise you can always add a tour on to the end of the cruise and see some interesting site and animals that are present around Denali National Park.  You will not be disappointed with an Alaskan Cruise.

With a more active group of Travelers I suggest taking an Caribbean or European Cruise.  The itineraries are endless and you can see many ports within a 7 to 14 day.  My Travel Tip for an European Cruise is to take as much time as you can due to the airfares being high during certain times of the year.  The season vary based on the Ports that you visit want to visit, so now is a good time to start planning for 12 to 18 month in advance.  When you plan for a cruise well in advance it allows you to pay in payments that work with your budget.  Plan Early and get discounts and cabin credits. I highly recommend consulting with a Travel Agent. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have.  Jeanne Felix   http://www.travelatheart.com or find me on facebook at http://facebook.com/travelagentjeannefelix.

Cruising Tip:  You must always be willing to relax and read book in between all the fun activities and ports of call.   You will never be bored on board if you pick a Cruise with lots of Ports.

The beauty of cruising is that you unpack once and will be treated with first class service if you pick the correct Cruise Lines.  I personally like Princess Cruises and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and have never been disappointed on any of the itineraries that we have experienced.

Cruising for a special occasion or for a family reunion is the perfect time to book your cruise as a group.  We can assist with making special party arrangements or activities preapproved personally designed for your group.  Group Cruises and help for paying for the Organizer's cruise fare or this is called the Tour Conductor.

Be sure that your passport is up to date and I advise every passenger double check before booking their cruise.  Need to apply for a  US passport find information at this website  for first time passport applicants http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/first/first_830.html  If you need to renew your existing passport check the following website http://travel.state.gov/passport/renew/renew_833.html

Time is ticking and you only have One Lifetime to see this wonderful world.
