Holiday Travel can be stressful. Many of you will be traveling more than 200 miles away to visit family and friends for the Holidays. My biggest travel tip is suggested that you always travel with safety in mind. Watch the Gas Prices, as they dictate what prices you will pay at the pumps. Be Prepared and Pack Ahead.
The Airlines offer Special Holiday Fares but they are very specific to dates of travel. I suggest that you always allow approximately 21 days prior to travel to purchase your airline ticket. There are some last minute deals but the best prices and availability are there when you plan way in advance. Get to the airport at least 2 1/2 hours prior to you departure time. Many delays are happening with the TSA screening. Plan Ahead.
Are you traveling by car this year? Depending where you travel be prepared and pack ahead of time. My Holiday Travel Tip is: Pack and Carry Tire Chains, Extra Blankets and some snacks before you start out. I have physically been stuck on the highway for 12 hours and it is always good to be prepared.
Travel Safe and I hope this information is helpful. Look forward to 2012 as the prices are starting to come down for air and gas prices. Have a Wonderful Holiday Season and Happy Travels wherever you end up for this Christmas Season.
