TRAVEL IS ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE, not just the place you pick for your vacation.

TRAVEL IS ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE, not just the place you pick for your vacation.  Vacation Time is an experience that should be FUN and Exciting. http://travelatheart.com   Sample  Hawaii is a beautiful place to relax and regroup for a family vacation.  I forgot to mention that it is filled with all types of opportunities to make it into an even better Vacation.  Activities that can fill your entire vacations are hiking, biking, car exploration, swimming, sunset cruises, SNORKELING many more....  Are you starting to get the picture.  A great website for exploring information about Hawaii is  http://www.gohawaii.com/

Sitting in a Beautiful Room with a Fantastic View is Priceless, but the Experience that you will gain when you book a Sunset Cruise, Luau, hiking day trip, camping in the wild, Snorkeling to a remote island are things that will enhance your Precious Time in the Islands or during any vacation.

I use Hawaii as a sample as I am a Hawaii Specialist.  Hawaii is the perfect place to pick up and just plan a last minute vacation.  http://travelatheart.com  If you are looking for general travel tips or travel updates check out my facebook page at http://facebook.com/travelagentjeannefelix

Cruises are a great way to see the rest of the world.  Cruising the Fjords in Alaska or the River Cruises in Europe and  some experiences that can be enhanced with excursions or site seeing trips.  The secret is to make this the best vacation ever and if you save or plan ahead of time you can include many of these activities by prepaying for them at time of booking your vacation.  Many great deals can be found when you arrive at your destination.

It is YOUR VACATION, YOU NEED TO PLAY YOUR WAY.... Build you memories and take lots of pictures. http://travelatheart.com

Every Vacation Can Have A Silver Lining - Travel the World and Explore - Let a Travel Agent Help to Save you Time and Money

You can travel the world and pick a Vacation that you will be able to achieve in Time.  Many people say the phrase Every Cloud has a Silver Lining.  What does it mean when it comes to Travel?  As I see it, Travel can be affordable for everyone. http://travelatheart.com   When you  have a want you will find a way.  When times become hard, just realize that the necessities of life are the most important things to concentrate.  Food on the Table and providing for your family is the most important thing that Must be achieved.

When times are better and goodness starts coming your way, then is the perfect time to start planning a well needed get away. PLAN PLAN PLAN is the secret ingredient here.   Often people think they can't afford a vacation, but when you realize how much money is wasted away everyday in un-neccessary purchases.  Make a concious effort to start watching your extra purchases and see how much money that you can start putting away for a little vacation.for Your Dream Vacation.

My best advise I give our Travel Clients is Dream Big and it will come.  Pick out a destination that you have alway want to visit and start your plan into action.  Start up a Christmas Club Savings Account and call it the TRAVEL ACCOUNT.  When you receive Cash Gifts for your Birthday or Christmas - start depositing the money into the Account.  Many tour companies that I as a Travel Professional deal with will allow a deposit as little as $50.00 per person down towards a vacation.  I think planning well in advance will help you afford that ultimate vacation that you have on your Bucket List.

You should try to call a travel agent to see what value they can add for your planned Holiday.  Travel Agents can save you money if you allow them to.  Do your online research, but please let a independent Travel Agent help you finalize your plans.  You can get free advise that save you so much money in the end.  Travel Agents are your "Fun Counselors" and they truly can help with your planning of a Stress Free Vacation.

TRAVEL and VACATIONS - LOVE WHAT YOU DO AND DO WHAT YOU LOVE

I personally live the words "Love what I do and Do What I Love" when it comes to #Travel and #Vacations.  It is helpful to find something that you are passionate about and continue to study and give information freely about what you know. http://travelatheart..com

Travel Tips and Travel Blogs are something that you can get anywhere, but my tips are coming from my vision or of the needs of the Traveler.  Reporting and letting you know when there are free items, taking a trip as a family or just exploring the world about us.  Traveling is something that everyone should do.  There are good deals and then there are great deals.  Working with Tour Companies that work with Travel Agents exclusive allows me to keep competitive with the on line travel sites that you are using. Check out my blog site    http://heartsonthegotravel.blogspot.com/

When you think of travel you should ask a questions to a person who actually Travels for a Living.  My vision is to give you information and updates that can make a difference in your life.  Travel is expensive if you let it.  Not everyone has to stay in the most expensive Hotel or Resort, but there are some alternatives at a better price and the experience can be just as good.  We try to find the perfect vacation for your Vacation Dollar.  Cheap is not a term that Travel Agents like to use, but experience at a deal is well worth providing to you. http://travelatheart.com

Please get out into the world and build some wonderful memories for you and your entire family.  Need help planning a family reunion, road trip, Vacation Tour or Cruise or just a quick get away call as I don't charge for my services.  Travel Tips can be found at my facebook site http://facebook.com/travelagentjeannefelix .   The Website has actually gone Mobile  http://mobile.dudamobile.com/site/travelatheart_2 and we want to keep you traveling in a forward motion.

Small Town Parades and Family Fun - Local Involvement

Have you ever attended a Parade that has the loyality and love from it's attendees and participants?  http://travelatheart.com   Truckee 4th of July Parade is a great sample of the Small Town Parade with support and appreciation of its fans.  The parade offers a little excape from the every day and puts some all American energy into the downtown area.  The route is about 1 mile long and is very popular for people visiting from all over.

What great fun for the participants with their Float Entries all the way to the service clubs and fundraising events.  We had representatives from The Relay for Life and the Truckee Humane Society - just to name a couple.  One of the Favorites of our Town is the Truckee River Drill Team, which is a group of local guys who perform Drills with Ski's and have the hearts of everyone.   They have been preforming for over 31 years.

Next time you have a parade in Town, please help support their efforts as it help to have an audience.  Your Town or City Chamber of Commerce is a perfect place to see what is happening in your own neighborhoods.  Enjoy life and shake it up a little.

Variety is the spice of life and sharing a Local Parade with your family will bring smiles to your faces as you review all the fun pictures you review later.  Take plenty of pictures and share them with everyone.  Local Involvement is a good thing.

Travel Memories and Stress Free Vacation are So Rewarding

I was sitting here just refecting on the vacations we have taken over the years.   The memories that you create on Vacation with your family and friends are something you JUST CAN'T and WON'T forget.  Memories of a Stress Free Vacation are so rewarding.

Traveling Throughout Live is a Journey and we each must choose our own path.  Have you ever wondered how you ever got into the line of business you are in.   More important - have you really taken advantage of the time that you earn to be off work.

Vacation is such a precious time and you should start planning your day trips or family get aways soon.  Time is ticking and I hear many people say "I WISHED I HAD GONE TO......."  It is never too late to just pack up your car, get on a plane and be on your way.  Some great sites I suggest for research are National Park System  http://www.nps.gov/index.htm and http://www.nps.gov/getinvolved/index.htm.  You can actually be involved in may ways to help preserve our parks.  National Geographics has a great site for seeing the world through aminals and amazing and fun Vacation Spots.  http://travel.nationalgeographic.com/travel/?source=NavTravHome

If you plan enough ahead a small vacation can be affordable.  I encourage people to take some time to time to research a location that they are interested in, set up a travel saving account (similar to a Christmas Fund).  Many of the tour operators I as a Professional Travel Agent allow as little as $50.00 per person down to hold a vacation to Hawaii.  Buying travel On-Line you have to pay everything on a credit card right now.  Not my idea of helping counsel people on how to Plan a Stress Free Vacation.

Involve your children in deciding where to go for your next Family Vacation.  Give your kids the opportunity to do some research on their computer and see what fun activities they can find.  While traveling in the National and State Parks there are great resources for Family Involvement.

Arm Chair Travel turns into a reality when you put a Plan into Action.  If you need some help with ideas of where to go next - feel free to contact me  Jeanne Felix, Travel Agent  http://travelatheart.com

Road Trip Traveling Across America - Rest Stops and Welcome Centers - Sightseeing- Where to Next

We have been on a Road Trip for 6 days and it is amazing all the resources that are available for the Road Warrior. The best advise when doing long distance driving trips is to be prepared for ANYTHING. Be flexible in your plans and routes. Never know if there is a National Park or State Treasure that you might want to make a side trip. Check out your Rest Stops and Welcome Centers for Great Information and Free Maps.

Gas: I think the best tool for finding the best gas prices is GasBuddy.com. We have found that gas prices fluctuate quite a bit depending on the state your are traveling through. The Interstate Exits usually offer the best gas prices. We have experienced $3.19 - $3.75 across the heart of America. The octane is a little lower in some states, so be sure to check the specs on your vehicle.

Rest Stops: I always say to stop by the Welcome and Visitor Centers as you enter into the State you are visiting. The Maps that you pick up will show the Town and Directions to pertinent information. Rest Stops are a very vital part of traveling. You need to stop to rest, relax or have a picnic. Important to rest some after putting the foot on the pedal for so long. Most Rest Stops are indicated by the Exit Number and along the freeway you will see signs of the "NEXT SERVICES...so many miles away. Great Help when you are getting tired or just need a break along the way.

Important Site Seeing Information: If you check your smart phone or the websites of The Department of Transportation of the states you are planning on visiting you can gain lots of Travel Information. Don't miss the sites and parks of our Nation. There are so many beautiful places to see and experience. Do the exploring as a family and that will build Child Hood Memories of your children for years to come.

Rental Cars: Make sure if you are planning a road trip that your rental car company will allow you to travel in all states. When Renting at the International Airports, they usually will not limit the travel areas for your car rental. When Renting a Vehicle at a Local Agency be sure to ask them what states you are able to travel to..... THIS IS VERY INPORTANT. Be sure to check with your insurance company when renting and what you will be covered on when you rent a car.

Camera: Never fear if you forgot your camera just just use your Smart Phone, but down load them to save your memories. Memories can be lost if you don't take steps to protect your pictures. Download often and be prepared if you accidently lose your phone.

Dining: Dining is something that is a personal choice. Some Eat and Go, others need to break up the trip with a indoor dining experience. What ever your choice, make sure that you leave some room for low calories snakes along the way.

FINAL NOTE: Keep your mind busy with reading sign and making stops often. You are on a trip so enjoy it and see the sights. Allow lots of time as things will change along the way. After this trip, start planning your next trip. Need ideas give me a call or check out my facebook Travel Tips Page http://www.facebook.com/travelagentjeannefelix. For Traveling Vacations -Smart Phones helps Keep Your Travel Memories Safe and Updated via Social Media

Have you ever taken a trip and forgot your computer?  Well life will not come to an end and you don't have to be too far away from being connected.  Internet Cafe's and Hotel Internet Connections  are Everywhere in the World. Being Connected via Social Media is a way to communicate and share your trip as you go.

When Traveling in Europe we found that many people were traveling around the world without having their computers or  might have forgotten their cameras.  There is no problem in this picture.  You can travel in most countries and have the availabily to use your Smart Phone and just travel with a larger chip to capture all your memories.  We have traveled all over the world and have never found a problem getting connected to facebook, twitter or email accounts.  I only have one warning.  When using a Internet Cafes bring lots of money with you and always log out of your accounts when you are done.

Wanted to let you know that the keyboards in Europe are quite different.  Before you start downloading your pictures or writing an email be sure to ask about the @ sign and the underscore are located in different places.  Have the attendant help you answer your questions before you get started.

If you are traveling overseas I highly recommend bringing a small computer so that you have a secure connection and you can download your pictures as you go.  We have had people try to fix things on our camera and lost valuable pictures that you can never ever replace -  gone (PUFF).  Your memories are so important and you need to protect them at all costs.

I have had clients loose their phones, but had uploaded their pictues to Facebook and they were sure glad they did.  Facebook allowed them to create albums so this is where Social Media can save the day.  Being connected is wonderful for sharing and caring, but it can also preserve your memories in case of a lost camera or phone.

We take a 10" computer with us and our smart phones are our cameras. Happy Travels and hope this information is helpful. Today is Tomorrow's Memories.
